Free username on ICE
Create a free username to post and browse the feed. A personal site is optional — ICP site / canister purchase fee (10 ICP) at mint (2.7 ICP canister cycles / 7.3 ICP network ops).
Browse the public feed first if you like. An account is optional.
ICE is a place to post and read a public feed. Signing in lets you create a free username and post. A personal site is a separate optional mint.
Public posts live with the network. You sign in with a passkey or device unlock — not an email and password stored on this site. A username is free. Minting a site is optional and uses an ICP site / canister purchase fee (10 ICP).
Open ICE, choose Create your account or Sign in, finish Internet Identity on your device (about a minute), then pick a username if asked. No wallet is required to start.
ICE runs on the Internet Computer (ICP). Accounts and public posts live in canisters rather than a conventional app database.
The backend is written in Motoko. Sign-in uses Internet Identity (passkeys / device unlock), not a site password store. None of this is required reading to join.
